Best Catches is a sifter for the unplugged, the lazy, and the busy. It’s a weekly roundup of the freshest juggling videos, forum topics, and blog posts – in short, it does a lot of work so you don’t have to.

::  In ring passing news, Tony Pezzo and Patrik Elmnert have gone on a numbers juggling spree, breaking multiple world records along the way.

::  Or Kaufman and Ori Roth experiment with juggling while wearing LED finger lights in a new video.

::  Alex Barron breaks the 11 ball record AGAIN!  One catch away from the qualify.  He also teamed up with David Leahy and set a new world record in 20 ball passing.

::  The WJF will be holding Competition Blitz’s until WJF 7.  They just concluded their first one this past week.  Information and competitor entries can be seen here.  In other WJF news, the organization just opened up its forums to everyone, instead of just members, as it had been in the past.

::  Chris Chiappini gets musical in his ‘Just Juggle’ music video.

::  Ameron Rosvall explains an interesting modification he came up with for his juggling clubs, then shows off what they can do.

::  Are males better than females at juggling?  Post your thoughts and read other jugglers’ opinions on the matter.

::  Spencer Hearne unleashes the six ball ass catch.

::  Jason Garfield was recently attacked by a hack while juggling at Universal Studios.  Hack juggler Sean thought he had the authority to say who can and cannot juggle in public, and had security escort Garfield and friends off of Citywalk after Sean himself was unable to get them to leave.  Luckily, the incident was documented on video and Sean removed his YouTube account after facing the wrath of the juggling community.

::  The Amazing Kenny shows off some multiball contact juggling moves that he has been working on.

::  Ben Hestness and Chris Hodge tie the 16 ring passing record in a new video.

::  Introducing The Assassin Juggling Club.  Could this be the new evolution in club juggling?  Hard to say, but it has been getting rave reviews from many top jugglers.

Sorry about the lack of updates lately.  I have been busy.  On the plus side, I have a few cool things in store for the site.  Also, a lot has been going on in the world of juggling these past few weeks!  So, here is a special plus-sized edition of Best Catches!

::  Wes Peden has a highlight video up of his performance at the EJC 2010.

::  Footage of Doug Sayers and Peter Kaseman breaking the world records in 14 and 15 ball passing is now online.

::  Jim Klimek demonstrates his many different talents in a recent video from Dube.

::  After taking viewer requests, Bill Berry’s juggling challenge video is now complete.

::  The WJF just released a montage video of its 2010 convention.  They have also released the full official results of WJF 6 as well as announced the date and location of WJF 7.

::  Thom Wall displays his innovative skills in his winning routine for the 2010 IJA 3 ball IndyProp competition.

::  Pavel Evsukevich juggles along the Las Vegas strip.

::  The IJA just received an anonymous yearly donation of $50,000 per year for the next 20 years.  Way to go IJA!

::  Bacon Juggling interviews Bill Berry in his latest edition of the Interview with a Juggler series.

::  WJF 6, IJA 2010, and EJC 2010 are all in the books!  Click the names to read what people are saying about them.

::  The WJF has posted the results of the WJF 6 competitions.  They are not releasing a DVD of the event, but they have posted many of the full routines onto their Youtube channel.

::  Jason Donnelly flashes 10 balls in three different ways.

::  The Ministry of M shows off some contact juggling and a little toss juggling in their latest video Two Dots.

::  Have you ever wondered what would happen if you were to drop a Fushigi ball off of a balcony?  Here is the answer.

::  The IJA has just announced the qualifying competitors for its 2010 championships.

::  Watch as Lauge Benjaminsen connects two DB97531s.

::  The EJC has just unveiled EJC2010 Live where you can view live content and interact with convention goers.

::  Thomas Dietz juggles glowballs to promote his juggling workshop.

::  A recent science news article outlined a theory by a reputable professor who believes that gravity does not actually exist.  Interesting idea, but good luck trying to convince a juggler!

::  Nick Pike returns and performs once more on America’s Got Talent before being eliminated.

::  I (Nathan) will be attending WJF 6 this coming week in Las Vegas.  When I return, I will be sure to post in-depth coverage of the event.

::  Jay Gilligan’s new DVD ‘What I Did on My Summer Vacation’ will be available exclusively at the 33rd European Juggling Convention.

::  Laura Ernst juggled balls inside a giant bubble during an appearance on the current season of America’s Got Talent.

::  Minneapolis area jugglers are invited to participate in The Walker Art Center’s Open Field Project.  Plan a juggling event this summer at the field and help make this summer community project a success.

::  Luke Burrage demonstrates a nifty little club balancing trick that he’s been working on.

::  Circus juggling sensation Gena Shvartsman Cristiani resurfaces in a recent video shot at the Dube showroom.  Shvartsman shows off a variety of tricks with clubs and gives commentary on several juggling topics.

::  Footage from the “Congress of Jugglers” trial tournament of Major League Combat has been posted online.  See what happens when Team “Hodge” takes on Team “Not Hodge” in a ferocious juggling showdown. 

::  Speaking of Juggling battles, The WJF has officially announced the challenger for The Battle for the WJF Presidency at WJF 6.  Noah Malone will take on Jason Garfield in a one on one competition testing a variety of different skills.  Who will reign supreme? 

::  Gballz has just launched their new website.  In honor of this event, you can enter to win 6 Silver SE Series Gballz. 

::  Seven ball backcrosses?!?!  Holy cow!
