I have been seeing some really cool videos lately featuring jugglers working together to come up with really creative two person moves, so I thought it would be cool to showcase them here.
This first one features some interesting shared patterns as well as BBB tricks. Very creative moves, and great editing.
The beginning of this next video involves person to person contact juggling transfers. I haven’t really seen much of this sort of thing, so I was especially taken by it.
This last video doesn’t allow embedding but it can be viewed here. There isn’t really person to person juggling patterns in this one so much, rather it is focused on executing perfectly timed side-by-side siteswaps. Beautiful to look at, and very technical in execution.
Last week, Alex Barron broke the world record in 11 balls, with 17 catches. Just a few days later, Peter Bone posted this video:
That’s right, just a matter of days after a new world record was set, Peter Bone beats that record by a single catch! Not to be outdone however, Alex Barron returned with this video:
This time Barron beats Bone’s record by one catch!
Up until about a week ago, Bruce Sarafian held the record in 11 balls for nine years. Now, that record has been broken three times in the span of a week! What’s even more interesting is that Barron and Bone seem to be in a battle to be the first person in history to qualify 11 balls. Which one of these juggling madmen will come out on top and just what are the limits (if any) in numbers juggling?
Stop the presses! There is a new world record with 11 balls! Alex Barron has set a new world record with 17 catches of 11 balls (the previous record being 15 catches, held by Bruce Sarafian since 2001). What’s even more amazing is how clean and controlled his pattern looks. Could we be seeing an 11 ball qualify here before too long? Maybe it’s not all that far away. In any event, congratulations Alex!
This is some insane juggling by the always impressive Doug Sayers. Highlights include six ball columns and a seven ball shower. Better late than never in me posting this I suppose.
This video has been online for a little while, but it’s too cool not to post. What happens when the president of the World Juggling Federation meets up with arguably one of the best ring jugglers in the world and they have some time to kill together while they wait around to meet up with arguably the best club juggler in the world? Answer: this video.
This video features some of the best cinematography I have ever seen in a juggling video. Not to mention the absolutely brilliant club manipulations. The urban decay imagery really adds to the artistry of the whole video for a truly hypnotic viewing experience.
Some very good technical club juggling is displayed in this video. His integration of a single ball into club patterns and face balances are especially cool.
There are some club jugglers that juggle lower than others with a few added spins to help captivate an audience. This guy takes that approach to the extreme. What’s even more impressive is that he opts to juggle with more than just three clubs at this crazy speed. The body throws and good showmanship are just the icing on the cake. A delicious juggling cake.
This video features some very cool manipulations with soccer balls. I’m not sure what I find more impressive, the fact that he can pull off that many patterns so flawlessly with such large balls, or the wicked stacked spinning moves he’s able maintain while also juggling. Wild!
