Juggler

I’ve proudly made 15 “one shot” juggling videos, but a boomerang building parody has far outpaced any of them in YouTube views. I’ve taught hundreds of kids to juggle and became a “professor” leading a for-credit college course, but my fiancee hasn’t learned in eight years (we can pass 6b and 5c ultimates). And I’ve competed and performed dozens of times, but adrenaline blocked all but a few snap images from becoming memory. Periods of membership in Toss Up, Lincolnshire, Ill.; Vicious Cycle, Hillsdale, Mich.; Chicago Jugglers; Motor City Jugglers, Detroit, Mich.; Neverthriving, Minneapolis, Minn.; Air Raid, Charlottesville, Va.

Reporter

In one way or another, from a one-man operation to a major metropolitan daily, I’ve worked every imaginable newspaper production job (I’m crediting myself with publisher, printer, and circulation for my underground high school rag). Early prowess led to big league internships, but my first full-time work is now a small-circulation cops and courts job in rural Virginia.

Engaged

Katie and I met with the help of the alphabet. It went like this: Katie’s last name starts with G-A, and mine with G-O, so in freshman English we sat one behind the other. Eight years later and we’re wearing matching Alaska socks and planning an Art Deco wedding.
